Thank you, @ClarionBooks for sharing this ARC. One of my favorite reads of the summer, and to be added to @CBGaymanES@CBLibraries shelves ASAP. This is a SO MUCH MORE than a ghost story. Mystery, friendship, family, adventure, heart—all in one book!
The power of an author visit: following Aron Steinke’s author visit this spring, his books were checked out of @CBGaymanES @CBLibraties 119 times by students! WOW!
Valentine-to-a-book #3 @CBLibraries@CBGaymanES A Wrinkle in Time (Graphic Novel). Graphic Novels can introduce grown-ups to new books, too! I could never quite convince myself to read Madeleine L’Engle’s original. Then I discovered the graphic novel. Thank you @hopelarson!
Valentine to a Book #2: Fuzzy Mud. I had THE BEST book club discussions about this book when we had to meet for @CBGaymanES@CBLibraries book club remotely. The kids drew so many parallels between this book (written before Covid) and their pandemic experiences.
Tonight some of our Lit Review members presented a sneak peek of favorite K-12 titles of 2022. We’ll share EVEN MORE titles at the @PSLA_News conference, and we review HUNDREDS of titles (each year) on our blog: https://t.co/ci0Ydc98uQ
After much brainstorming, conversation, and excitement—the @CBGaymanES Reading Ravens’ Reading Olympics t-shirt design has begun to take shape. Reading Olympics isn’t just about the books. It’s about building a team, compromise, and creativity! @CBLibraries
@CBBridgeValley 2nd Grade @CBLibraries students are finishing a BIG research project. First, we SELECTED a topic. Then, we GATHERED information. Next, it was time to CHOOSE what to share with pizzazz! Loving the creativity of @CBMJaeger’s class!
@CBGaymanES 2nd grade library students are exploring the work of paper engineer @robert_sabuda and others as they turn their research in interactive displays @CBLibraries.
Thank you to all @CBGaymanES students and families who went on a book hunt to bring our overdue books home for the holidays! The books can't wait to be checked out again in the New Year! @CBLibraries
Today, I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to lunch with my 5th grade Reading Olympics Book Club @CBGaymanES@CBLibraries. I get to see you think in a different setting. WE get to fall in love with @kimbbbradley's The War that Saved My Life. #BucksReadingOlympics
We are reading Paletero Man (@LuckyDiaz) @CBGaymanES & @CBBridgeValley. We love the rhythm of this text and its English/Spanish blend.
Favorite moment: the glow on a student's face as he connected the story to trips to visit family in Honduras and Puerto Rico! (#CBLibraries)
1st grade students @CBGaymanES@CBLibraries are learning about library organization and developing library skills as the “store” acorns by its alphabet maker on the shelf and browse a shelf by driving a car on the shelf that begins with the same letter as their last name!
My 3rd Grade @CBLibraries students @CBBridgeValleyES are going back to basics creating posters by hand to share their database research. They are loving this chance to create and are learning layout skills and “ computer terms like text boxes” that they will use in the future.
