#ABIWeek
SHARE THIS POST 📲 to spread awareness of childhood acquired brain injury.
Acquiring a brain injury in childhood can potentially result in changes in a child's personality. Some of the reasons behind these ‘personality changes’ can be seen below.

Let’s teach all children how to recognise when they feel stressed in their bodies
AND give them simple ways to help their body and brain feel calm and OK
My 3 year old granddaughter is growing up with this as her ‘normal’ which is just what all children need I reckon @JKPBooks

in 2016, Benjamin talked to a group of PGCE English teachers I was working with. he told them that anti-Black language policing was part of the same logics of anti-Black policing more broadly. those students continue to teach those same ideas in schools now. his legacy lives on❤️
Oh, what lovely feedback!
Compassion is at the heart of this workshop. 🥰
The training covers what daily life can be like with a brain injury and how professionals can support children & families navigate life post-ABI.
If you're looking for training, please get in touch.

My 2nd #BlackHistoryMonth salute goes to Ms Elisabet Coffi Rope, who is an Award-winning Afro-Catalan Primary School Senior Teacher.
In 2022, she encouraged & helped her year 5 pupils to write directly to the Home Secretary demanding justice for the #Windrush generation.
Glimmers are the opposite of triggers. They bring moments of joy and happiness. Noticing glimmers has a soothing effect on the nervous system and increases life satisfaction. We were exploring them today 🌟✨🌟
From #MoroccoEarthquake, very grateful to @AnnaJonesSky for opportunity to discuss current vulnerability of women & girls to violence & child marriage. Also the urgent need for #periodproducts in aid kits. If at all able, please support our appeal via https://t.co/BibDJQBhPI 🙏🏾❤️
Children in care have criminal records for taking food from the kitchen, in their care homes, after hours just because they were hungry. Believe it, it's still happening. Imagine your parents calling the police on you because you took food from the fridge? It wouldn't happen. But it does in some residential settings. Making care experience a protected characteristic will bring about change to our legal system and stop vulnerable young people in care from being prosecuted just for being in care.
