And w/o federal funding research in the US is largely compromised as a “pause” would requiere many labs to let go people with high level training and expertise. Recovering from such personnel losses takes lots of resources in training and time. Not a smart move!

Dr. Griffin was a founding member of @CMM_JHU and chaired our advisory board. A distinguished virologist, she was an elected member of Natl Acad Sci and Natl Acad Med. We remember her with gratitude.
