Six year old Kuma tells us how it feels to live with the bacterial eye infection Trachoma, “It feels as though there is sand in my eyes, and I need to get it out. Sometimes it hurts so much I have tears flowing down my eyes. When my eyes hurt I start getting headaches.”
NZ Sign Language Week. Our thoughts are with those living with the double disadvantage of poverty and disability. Like Diane in Burundi who attended a cbm supported school where she learnt sign language and was then able to teach her siblings so they could communicate with her.
