@charlesmurray It's not jury rig. It's Jerry rig. Jury rig is something you do in a court of law. Jerry rig is a WWII dismissive phrase from US GIs to describe the German tendency to repair their rickety vehicles with convoluted and unstable parts. "Jerry" was a German soldier.
