Thought for the day: The world is filled with nice people. If you can’t find one, be one. Remember, it’s better to kind than it is to be right....via #Culturize
The most important qualities of any educator are not adequately captured on a resume. It is hard to quantify passion, energy, dedication, patience, perseverance, and love... but in the classroom... those qualities make all the difference in the world.
Honestly...I wrote this post for myself to help deal with negativity. Hope it helps others - 4 Ways To Not Let Others Dim Your Light https://t.co/hbb546Es5Z
We brought the @dudebenice movement to our school as a simple message & reminder to be BETTER to one another. “Leadership is about making life better for others. One of the nicest things we can do is show up for others.” Empathy, inclusivity & kindness are priorities. #cada2018
THIS.
“Cramming all night for a test is not a badge of honor; more homework does not make your class more rigorous; and good grades don’t guarantee a student will make a difference in the world.” - @katiemartinedu, #LCInnovation
If our focus is solely on "engagement" in the classroom, we've created a culture where the student needs a teacher to learn. If we focus more on empowerment, the student gains ownership over their own learning, growth, and direction. #InnovatorsMindset
"Great leaders practice balancing trust & autonomy while providing strong mentorship. Leading doesn't mean telling people what to do or how to do it. It requires pushing thinking & abilities by asking questions & challenging perceptions without micro-managing." #InnovatorsMindset
"As educational leaders and continuous learners, we must commit to perpetually moving forward, for our own sakes and for the benefit of the schools and the students we serve. Never stop asking questions
or pushing the boundaries.." #InnovatorsMindset
All across America people chose to get involved, get engaged and stand up. Each of us can make a difference, and all of us ought to try. So go keep changing the world in 2018.
