@YellenD57516@KieranMaguire You did well, but back then the PL was a different animal. Anyone from say 8th down were very beatable whereas today it’s the probably around the bottom 6. I remember playing Brentford in Dec 23 and their bench in £ was worth more than our whole club, players, ground everything.
@HattersHeritage@moreofaswimmer1 I played against DO in the CYL way back. I think he played around the Newport Pagnell area. He was head and shoulders better to every other kid playing. And then he lived in digs when a LT apprentice and got the bus into Luton every morning, me of to college he was off to footie.
@spamo23@RobPUSB@LutonTown@premierleague Our squad value ISN’T what we payed for them. It increased with price through promotion not through signings. We spent £30m in the prem yet banked £180m . Our top signing Chong was £5m. We bought McGuniness for £8m in 24/25 and sold him for the same money a year later.
@richyhardy The lowest budget of any team to get to the PL.
Probably won’t happen again for a while.
We went down yes, but to score 53 goals in that season, the second most by a promoted team is some decent achievement. I wouldn’t swap that season for anything.
@RobPUSB@LutonTown@premierleague Are fortune is in our new stadium which a £100m from this game went a long way to helping with bill. We’ll be back at some stage
Enjoy your season/s
@LibDems Career politicians like you are the problem.
All talk for years and years and yet nothing changes. The country needs big change from the Uniparties.
He may not be the complete answer but he simply cannot do any worse.
