King Tides are expected to begin this weekend on Friday, June 12th, lasting through Wednesday, June 17th. A super new moon will occur during this time, increasing the possibility of flooding on roads and other low lying areas. Locations most often affected include Canal Drive, Florida Avenue, Carolina Beach Avenue North, and other low-lying areas.
Town officials may close roads due to flooding. Please use caution and obey traffic signs and barriers. Avoid walking or driving in flooded areas; salt water can be detrimental to your vehicle and could contain debris.
