English democracy is down to this:
THE most crazy electoral slogan EVER to around 35,000 people who will decide the future of the country:
- Vote for Labour to get rid of the leader of Labour which will make me Prime Minister. -
@makedonien_mk@JazzBulgaria It easy to see here I think. This is a map of Macedonia, a region in Europe. But has no institutional hold. It spreads across 6 countries. If one country appropriates the name Macedonia, then as we can see on this map, it has irredentist aspirations against 5 countries.
Thousands of Albanians took to the streets of Tirana protesting a development planned by a company linked with Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner on an environmentally sensitive part of the Adriatic coast https://t.co/U0oPD226aW
We gave North Macedonia 750 million euros in development funds to build public infrastructure. They spent it on replica Greek temples made of concrete with white plastic cladding to look like marble, and a statue of Alexander the Great pointing a sword at Greece. In a flood plain
@qasireu Μπράβο της, έχει ρόπαλο, κότσια, στρατιωτική εμπειρία, βιομηχανία, διπλωμάτες, πληθυσμό & όραμα. Εμείς έχουμε εκτάσεις, νησιά & ακρογιαλιές να πουλάμε, τραβάμε μαλ...ες αντί να κάνουμε παιδιά και συμμάχους που θα μας φάνε λάχανο. Αλλά πως έρχεται η Τ αντιμέτωπη '& με την Ελλάδα';
@BrammerAyse The is the weird bits. Turkiye has become the only UN member state whose official English name contains a diacritic (ü). The Greeks dont mind because in Greek the country was always pronounced almost as Ankara chose, as Tourkia (there is no ü sound in Greek).
@svetlaporta@Andric1961 I am puzzled because Bulgaria want NM to recognise a Bulgarian minority and this implies that Sofia accepts that the majority of NM citizens are ethnic Macedonians (which is the case).
@Andric1961 Bulgaria became the first country to recognise North Macedonia after the referendum. And soon after, Sofia convinced a drunken Yeltsin at Sofia to recognise the Republic of (North) Macedonia.
@Globalstats11 The Greek & Cypriot national anthems do NOT contain the word 'Turk'
I recognize you by the awesome cut
of your sword,
I recognize you by your face
that hastefully defines the land
From the bones arisen,
sacred of the Hellenes,
valiant again as you once were,
Hail o hail, Liberty!
@aybaltaci Which is why if Turkiye has claims as the inheritor of the Ottoman civilisation, it is its moral and historic duty to protect its ancient populations such as the Greek Orthodox. To make them feel comfortable and at home.
@AaronBastani On such a scorching weekend Londoners didn't do what is best but what is... their right. Hampstead Heath was preserved to provide green access to Londoners who could not afford leaving the city. Today it's expensive to swim & U need to book. They needed that access.
