Here’s one thing to consider vice doomsday scenarios: look at the NYPD. The police are still doing their job in NYC. Tisch is an excellent commissioner and crime stats remain historically low. The NYPD is still hiring, and will grow even more than under Adams. So essentially, the world hasn’t ended in NYC. And it won’t. Is there stuff to worry about? Yes.
