I wrote about how, after a four day strike, two California College of the Arts' unions signed contracts. Some big wins here, including a 12.5% to 38% raise over three years for some staff members. https://t.co/TFDvDXVCOQ

According to 2019-2020 @cacollegeofarts fiscal year figures, @CCAAdjunctUnion and staff pay comprises 10% of CCA’s overall yearly budget. This percentage is the livelihood of approximately 423+ employees. The top 12 CCA administrator we repeat ᴛᴏᴘ 𝟙𝟚 take home 2% of the pie.
“@CACollegeofArts 2020 990 filing shows President Stephen Beal made a base salary of > $580k while working 37.5 hours/ week, over $150k more than both the current Mayor of SF & POTUS.” @sfoakunite @CCAAdjunctUnion #unionstrong https://t.co/eLiInyuAmp
Executive Treasurer Amos Eaton breaks it down: “When you tell me President Beal makes nearly seven hundred thousand dollars, I ask: how many students’ tuition is that!? What about the people who make this place more than just a piece of real estate, who make it a community?”
"CCA has taken every opportunity to not bargain with us,” said Nakamura. “Sometimes they’ll make us wait an hour and a half in a three hour bargaining session just to talk."
This is unacceptable, CCA. Shame on you.

From @Capitol_Weekly: "We hope going on strike will result in a contract...that raises salaries for the lowest paid workers, wins seniority rights that will help retain our great staff members, and improves student services."
