That’s unheard of for a striker to be starting a game at any level never mind the World Cup for a team like Portugal. He’s still one of the best finishers but link up play non existent.

@NickRTFM He should really be started as a sub and brought on at the 60 min mark. He would be much more fresh if it potentially went into extra time and then he could hit a pen too. Also playing against defenders with tired legs while he’s fresh.

@Castro1021 Finals never live up to the expectation tho regardless of the teams playing. Theres way more nerves in a final and teams play way more pragmatic. Semi final is perfect for these 2 teams imo.
