Can when you eat improve glucose control—even if you're already taking a GLP-1 medication?
In a new case series of adults with type 2 diabetes on stable GLP-1RA therapy, a simple 10 hour time-restricted eating (TRE) schedule for 3 months led to:
✅ Lower HbA1c
✅ Reduced nighttime glucose levels
✅ More time spent in the healthy glucose range during sleep
The findings highlight a key insight: elevated overnight glucose may represent a distinct glycemic phenotype that responds particularly well to aligning meals with the circadian clock.
Continuous glucose monitoring could help identify who benefits most from TRE, paving the way for more personalized nutrition strategies in diabetes care. @salkinstitute
