As we rapidly move to online classes and consider how fall term might be impacted, I find myself thinking about the long term implications for higher education. How might we change in ways that we can’t even dream of right now?
Yesterday, we were honored to host a roundtable conversation with @ArkansasCC Director Andrea Henderson about the importance of UACCM and community colleges in higher education and the regional economy.
Prepare for the new normal: colleges fighting over a shrinking pool of of recent high school graduates. Meanwhile the pool of underserved adult learners is easily 10-15 times as large, but will require breaking w years of trad practices to reach & serve.
Of all the states attending #luminaspr19 , Arkansas had the largest percentage increase in educational attainment. Congrats to all Arkansas community colleges doing the hard work to support our students.
