Black History Month is drawing to a close, but at the library we celebrate Black history all year round. We make sure we buy diverse and inclusive texts, both fiction and non-fiction, and we continue our journey to decolonise our stock and provide an anti-racist library service.
It’s World Space Week! Pop into the library to have a look at our display all about the history of space exploration - from the 1940s to the present day! @Chi_College
And that's a wrap for now! Our first Open Mic event @WorthingCollege @CcgLibrary was a resounding success. We had readings in English, Arabic, Latin, Portuguese, Ukrainian ... time to plan our next event! @PoetryDayUK
In addition, on Thursday, staff from all the libraries gathered at West Durrington campus to learn all about CARLS (Creating an Anti-Racist Library Service).
The library staff from all of our campuses had a fabulous time at Brinsbury campus on Wednesday! We got to groom the horses, paint some pots, have a look at all of the animals in the Animal Centre and go for a wonderful walk in the countryside. @CCLibraryteam@BrightonMETLib1

Another pic from my lovely visit to @Chi_College with their excellent librarian @starstella1960. All the librarians there were passionate about books and learning - so lovely to see, and such a great library too.
It was fantastic to welcome Philip to @CcgLibrary yesterday, as our way of marking @WorldBookNight . He left us feeling inspired, enthused, and empowered to use our own life experiences to write creatively. Thank you, Philip.
@Chi_College And if anyone wants to read it over the break, we have a copy on our New Books display in the college library! It was difficult to put down!

Our student survey has launched! This is your chance to let us know what you think about what we offer, and to give us suggestions for how we can improve. You can either get a paper copy in the library, or you can fill it out online, here: https://t.co/1VwpHLj9Ao @Chi_College
And that brings us to February! We launched Reading Ahead on 5th February, and our student survey is launching any day now. Whether student or staff we hope to see you in the library soon!
Our second display was to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. It is imperative to learn about our past so we can have a better future, and as such, Holocaust Memorial Day highlights past holocausts and genocides so that we do not repeat them.
