Another casual 17 hour day. Running streak still alive at 215 days. Asking a lot out of this body, but I promised my childhood self that I'd reach CFO level, and for the first time - it feels genuinely within reach.
From a high school class of ~90 and a city with 1 stoplight.
I'm more of a rural living fan, but can't help but appreciate the trajectory this promotion has put me on, and it ultimately goes back to 2020 when I bet on myself and took a step back to position to take 4 forward. 3 of the 4 have now been done.
Working these hours finally shows me why people make the decision to step back at times. Ran the numbers, and I can retire in 5-8 years at current course and speed. Not saying it's definitive, but it's possible.
I lied about being done with home projects for the year. Expanded the pantry and will now be a walk in soon. Since this, have also opened up the old door header you see.
