Mirela (S5) won the Prom committee's fund-raising competition to guess the number of sweets in the jar. Her incredible application of Maths learning got her to within three of the right answer! @CraigroMaths@HTCraigroyston

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome visitors from Norway! π³π΄ They were very keen to hear about all the exciting things that happen at our school! As always, weβre so proud of our young people who enthusiastically shared their experiences with them! #CCHSdreamteam ππππ
Interesting level 3/4 work in S3 Science today, eg. light reflection and acidity levels. S3 biology were leading learning by choosing to research an aspect of GMO or biological control, and will be sharing their findings with their class later. @HTCraigroyston@CCHSEdinburgh
Well done to S4 pupils Mirela, Annika, Lara and Paige for taking part in the Growing Future Assets Investment Competition!
The judges were impressed with their entry even though they didn't make it to the final.
Senior art pupils today were very engaged and were eager to show their work. A mixed level class, but they all knew the level they were working at and what they were to do, thanks to the clear learning intentions and success criteria! @HTCraigroyston@CCHSEdinburgh
Good practice observed recently in the Maths faculty included retrieval practice built into new units, so that learners could revisit topics before building on them at a more advanced level. Pupils had a context for new learning and could tackle it confidently. @HTCraigroyston
Inspired by today's Remembrance Service, and with just 15 minutes left of class, S3 German maximised the remaining learning time and practised their dictionary skills making poppies. @HTCraigroyston@CCHSEdinburgh ππ
