Congratulations to Kihra Moes on signing to run cross country and track @CALVIN_XCTF next year! Kihra has qualified for state in cross country all 4 years and in track 3 times so far! She is a humble, dedicated athlete that keeps Christ first in all she does!
Knights run good races against good competition to finish 4th (just 7pts out of 1st), which advances them to State! This is the 8th time in the past 12 years that the girls team has qualified for State. Kihra earns All-Sectional with a 6th place finish.
Knight Pride for Conference goes to Haley Van Til and Blessing Batayola! Haley had a great season best and took a big step forward, while Blessing showed courage in her race and pushed herself despite recurring injuries.
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Mike Newman.
To us, he was simply Mike. To countless others, he was Mr. Newman - a tireless voice for the sport he loved.
From his passion for York High School cross country to his dedication in ensuring athletes across Illinois and the nation had their story recorded and remembered.
Mike, your race may be finished, but your impact will never fade. Your legacy will live on in every athlete, every performance, and every story you helped preserve.
Rest in peace, Mike Newman. 1962–2025.
