We are one of the finalists of the Model Based Engineering category at the @IETawards. This is based on our work looking Tailings Dam Failures using nonnewtonian fluids and our research into how this could be applied to improve public safety.

Terrible images and reports coming out of Brazil today about the tailings dam failure at a large mine. We've been working on non-newtonian dynamics to model failure of tailings dams. Understanding failures like this means better mapping, emergency planning, and risk management

Thanks black friday/cyber monday - latest PC build going ahead this week. We'll be upgrading one of our machines to a capable 16 thread, 32GBRAM, RAID 1 backup, 2x 1080Ti set up for use with our simulation work. Timelapse incoming
