Sadly, I have witnessed this on several occasions. Sometimes, when I see a family together even in the Church, I can immediately tell who the nanny, maid, or househelp is simply by the way the person is dressed - often shabby, worn-out, or neglected, while the children of the family are beautifully and neatly dressed.
This should trouble our conscience. A person who helps care for your home and children also deserves dignity, respect, and decent treatment. Human worth must never be measured by social status or economic class. Human dignity should never be selective.
