In 2015, EPA designated St. John the Baptist Parish as having the highest risk of cancer due to toxic chemical emissions in the entire country.

The Dupont/Denka plant located in Reserve is one of these companies, emitting Chloroprene - a “Likely Human Carcinogen” - at levels 800 times higher than what is deemed safe by EPA standards.

We will not allow our community to become a sacrifice zone and are determined to hold these companies accountable for their actions and ensure that citizens of St. John the Baptist parish receive safe air quality!

This Monday at 7:20a.m., our founder & executive director, Bobby Taylor, will be on @wbok_1230 to discuss our demands for the Denka Manufacturing Facility to comply with guidelines that will stop the hazardous emissions of cancer-causing chemicals in St. John the Baptist Parish.
