We spent time in Maths Club tonight learning how to convert metric units and then finished off playing Blooket to consolidate this skill. Big thank you to the Numeracy prefects again for preparing and running this session.
Year 7 finish Numeracy lessons in I'm Healthy and I Know It by working out which supermarket would be the cheapest to shop in to make healthy flapjacks for the whole of year 7 after using proportion to work out a recipe for 250 from one for 10. @CCYD_Maths#curriculumforwales
The whole of CCYD year 7's had the opportunity to visit Techniquest in Cardiff today. The trip was kindly arranged by the Maths department to find out about the application of Maths in the world outside of school.
