@axioskristos@FischerQui74958@JustinusRomanus@ruckusofantioch They don’t believe unbaptized infants are suffering in hell, but that they don’t enter the Kingdom. Where then do they go? In our OO tradition, some fathers suggest a middle place of sorts, other fathers believe they will be “baptized in fire”, and others say we simply don’t know
@axioskristos@ruckusofantioch@FischerQui74958@JustinusRomanus There is a universal, natural sense in which we are guilty in Adam, and the [fallen] nature of man is guilty of the original transgression. Thus St. Cyril states that "the whole nature of man became guilty in the person of [Adam]". Also, Abune Melketsedek of Bl. Memory:
Craig misreads the Chalcedonian laity slaughtering the miaphysite monks as the miaphysite monks slaughtering the Chalcedonian laity.
Literacy from Rakote (a suburb of Alexandria), never achieved before.
Atp, Craig should give up apologetics altogether. Lazy research, overconfident, more errors than actual points… sigh.
@MrsMagdaBeard First Corinthians 11, Paul the Apostle says: “Every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head. It is the same as having her head shaved.” In the 1st century, shaved heads for women were frowned upon. In Greece, courtesans were bare headed.
We are all probably under the condemnation of St. Gregory the Theologian for speaking about theology so freely on this platform, as if it were just an ideological disagreement or a debate between our preferred philosophies.
Lord, have mercy.
@TheOrthoEnsign@PensiveJustin Socinian Denial of the Trinity = modern Denial of the Trinity united by Essence
Socinian Arian Christology = modern "Monarchy of the Father" Christology
Socinian denial of Original Sin = modern view of Ancestral Sin
Socinian denial of Propitiatory Atonement = modern denial of PSA
“Ten thousand talents for that little payment, our debt He forgave us. He was bound to exact it, that He might appease His justice: He was constrained again to forgive, that He might make His grace to rejoice.”
— St. Ephrem the Syrian, The Nisibene Hymns II.13
@stfrumentius Because some refer to ‘killing’ as violence or deposition, which you are ignorant of. The others just blatantly exaggerated or made things up, what does this prove? That the bishops at your council were forced to repent instead of changing what they said in 448 at the 449 synod?
This actually didn’t address the point one bit. You conceded they were killers and liars, and now here you are saying “well it’s Dioscorus’s fault!” That still means your council is built on the foundation of a bunch of liars and murderers… Shifting the blame doesn’t resolve it.
Monophysites will plagiarize 5th century arguments from dogmatic and inept monks as if anyone would care or has not progressed beyond.
The bishops at Chalcedon that were at the Latrocinium were so embarrassed of their actions they tried covering it up until they were confronted at Chalcedon. I’d be happy to demonstrate that through an academic unanimity.
It’s not my fault they lauded the actions of the man running the council, sleeping with prostitutes and evincing personality disorders😳
Coptic Christian accepts Islam 🥺☝️
After speaking with @muslimorthodoxy, he embraced Islam and testified that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His Messenger.
Allahu Akbar!
