There’s a lot of disingenuous LFC squad depth ranking flying around.
- Liverpool won’t sign another CB because we signed Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye as 5th and 6th options in case of an injury.
- Harvey Elliott, Stefan Bajčetić, Wataru Endō and all other fringe players you don’t like will be given a fresh start by Iraola during pre-season. It’s unfair and inaccurate to just rule them out because you don’t like them.
- There’s still no official confirmation of the length of Conor Bradley’s injury. As far as we know he might be back for pre-season. Until then, it’s only fair to consider him and Frimpong as two RB options + Gomez + Szoboszlai as emergency options.
- Trey Nyoni will be taking a step forward to be a full time first team player this summer. So we’re already going to be +1 in midfield depth. I see too many people simply forgetting he exists when making these squad depth charts.
- Will Wright, Jayden Danns and Josh Sonni-Lambie will all be given a chance in pre-season to impress too. If you were one of those who cried week in week out for Rio to be given a chance then there’s no reason why you should pretend like these talented forwards can’t be an option for Liverpool next season too.
@lNVERTEDWlNGER Make some good signings can’t expect him to win the league in his first season
Play good football
