If you're someone who enjoys the trivia I post on My Hero Academia and/or Dr. Stone, but you've missed some of it and/or want to see it again, you're in luck, because I've added a section to my minimalist website archiving those threads!
https://t.co/3IOGPeMrT7
long overdue but I'm so sorry to the Dr. Stone fans.
You were always the pure, cherubic innocents (yes, even you SenGens!); unfortunate collateral casualties of a violent divorce.
Bless the Stone fandom, long may it continue to rock.

well, bye again, again
unlocking this account now, so that the archive of old trivia threads isn't forever inaccessible except to those already following at the time of the lock
no new content, no regrets, DNI
10/Izuku is not the first to embrace "deku"! Japanese poet Kenji Miyazawa, in his wildly famous "Ame ni mo Makezu" (Fall Not to the Rain) has the line:
"minna ni deku no bou to yobare" ("be called a nobody by all")
That sounds bad, but Miyazawa is describing an ideal to aspire to
2/ Too many generous people donated via ko-fi today (which I definitely don't deserve) so I've donated the full $263 plus a little to Genesis, a shelter for women and children affected by domestic violence (the shelter's in Texas, so they especially need help)
Well, bye again!
welp it's sure been an experiment, but I'm feeling done. just taking my ball to greener pastures, etc.
I've made a private account to keep in touch with the Cool People (check your notifs!) but I wish nothing but the worst for the toxic elements of this and every fandom.
Okay two final things, and then I'll shut the fuck up forever:
1/ I didn't "quit" any jobs, nor was I fired (lol?).
Just quitting this cursed twitter account. I love the series I work on, and I plan to translate them for years to come. And then new ones after that.
Enjoy!
@salinsley dat left justification!
I assume JPN editorial had little experience lettering "English" (not even...) and thought that horizontal text should just be...like the vertical Japanese text, but flipped 90 degrees!
(aside: unlike this, manga today often has actual English + furigana)
@sniperofmyheart I'm a little confused myself, since this chapter really makes it seem the other way around (no-scar Shoto w/Endeavor looming over him, + "Neither did I")
but Fuyumi's lines at the dinner imply that Rei was already gone when Toya died ("it" = Toya's death) and that hit her hard
PS3/The official (JPN) MHA account issued a dialogue correction for this chapter. The "Once Toya was gone" was a mistake and will be removed from future JPN editions.
(b/c the timeline was, Rei gets sent to the institution, THEN Toya "dies")
thanks @Sporeman0 for noting this
@merumeruchann (fun fact: far from being the mildest, dammit is the worst swear I can get away with in a title rated E for Everyone or whatever the fuck)
Overly literal translations have convinced some people that it's wrong to use swear words in English translations because the same exact curse words don't exist in Japanese. This shows a misunderstanding of how language works.
