Food for thought
Our feelings are the shallows part of who we are and our salvation is the deepest part of who we are. Jesus does not work in the shallow end of our lives

This may sound elementary and trite, but it’s still true… Making “please” and “thank you” part of your regularly-used vocabulary can change your life… and the lives of those you come in contact with. 🤗
I appreciate @DrPhil coming to North Carolina to see the devastation left by Hurricane Helene for himself—and to see how @SamaritansPurse is responding. He was able to be part of a Blackhawk helicopter airlift with my son @EdwardG1911 today to deliver supplies to families in some very isolated areas. He talked with and encouraged people whose homes had been flooded and even helped mud-out a home with our volunteers who are working in Jesus’ Name. We talked about how the church is the original first responder! I am so proud of how the people of this region are stepping up to get our neighbors on the road to recovery. Pray for all those who have been so severely impacted.
Thinking about all of the people whose lives were gone in an instant this past week here in NC is heartbreaking. This song is about Jesus coming back, but it can apply to the brevity of life. Seek Jesus, while you can!

Linville, NC, also suffered a huge blow from Helene. @SamaritansPurse has been asked to expand our emergency oxygen unit at the local hospital to a two-ward Emergency Field Hospital to serve as an ER and meet medical needs. Their needs are great as search and rescue teams mobilize to bring in more people who require medical care. #PRAY
