Last year, at least 2,105 workers in Turkey were killed on the job: an average of six deaths every single day.
Yet the labor organizers who dare to speak up against these lethal conditions are routinely thrown in jail: https://t.co/Ak1GY9u4zu
Civic education is being cut from public schools across the country. Then we wonder why young voters do not turn out. The line between the two is not subtle. You cannot defend what you were never taught existed in the first place.
Please learn more about the so-called āMississippi Miracleābefore centering it in your campaign. While there may be some lessons here, grade retention has been shown to be a long-term disaster for many kids and, for one, should not be adopted.

This is truly one of the worst things the court has done ā both in terms of legitimacy and in terms of the law ā since I have been covering the court.
Sam Levine makes critically important point here. SCOTUS' decision to allow Alabama to go forward with a previously rejected map is not just nakedly partisan & cravenly racist--it also reverses CJ Roberts' *own* analysis from just 3 years ago.
In 2023, chief justice John Roberts & SCOTUS majority said Alabama's argument for a "community of interest" along the gulf coast was BS.
Tonight, SCOTUS takes a reversal and says that a court-ordered map was not legal because it failed to keep Gulf coast comunity together

Tonight, once again, the Supreme Courtās corrupt majority blatantly and illegitimately handed Republicans more power. This time by approving a discriminatory map that eliminated a majority-Black district in Alabama - a map that lower courts already said was unlawful based on the Supreme Court's own standard.
This has gone too far. The Court cannot keep attacking our rights and lying to our faces about it. We must build a movement for a Supreme Court that serves all people, not just the powerful.
@jameswester And respectfully, I responded with my own thoughts. And despite that all Fordās presidency represented, he wasnāt a conman, society wasnāt as cynical, and people were a lot more involved: town parades, burying of time capsules, public discussions of history & the like.
IāveĀ been pushingĀ to ban Members of Congress and their familiesĀ from buying and trading stocks because it stinks of corruption. As we call out the Trump familyās corruption, we need to work on fixing corruption in Congress, too.Ā Ā

@ksearle124@jameswester I agree people have to do it on their own. Thatās how the fire hydrant thing started IIRC. But today, theyād probably just arrest us all for damaging public property. In addition: many ppl donāt want to celebrate the current government, which seems to despise average citizens.
You know who thinks Trump will have SCOTUS vacancies this year? Lower court judges who desperately want the job.
And they're tripping over themselves to audition for Trump by proving the one criteria he cares about the most: loyalty.

Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
