A very happy Scotsman here. Corned beef with mustard and white sauce is one of my favourite meals. Growing up we didn’t have much, but we had boiled cabbage and it was a fight to see who got to drink the water it was boiled in. I still love it, it’s still a treat.

I was lucky enough to be at my granddaughter - Ruby Rodgers’ EP showcase tonight in Sydney. The room was packed, and she absolutely crushed it. I can’t wait for you all to hear the EP. It’s fantastic… I’m so proud.

Amongst all the loss, we get a window of joy which comes with the chance to celebrate my father-in-law John Mahoney’s 90th birthday. Sitting next to him is his sister Laurel who is 97. They had quite a few Champagnes. We have four generations here today. What a special family. Here’s to kind life and good health.

Finished the tour off with two great shows in New Zealand. It’s been so great to get back and play this album again. I know it came out 40 years ago but it feels like just yesterday.
