RJ Mitte, best known for portraying Walter White Jr. on AMC’s acclaimed series “Breaking Bad,” has passed away at 34.⁠

Mitte, who lived with cerebral palsy, played a character with the same condition and became an advocate for disability rights and greater representation in Hollywood. Beyond “Breaking Bad,” his acting credits included “Switched at Birth,” “Triumph,” “The Oak Room,” and “The Guardians of Justice.”⁠

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte,” his reps announced today.

• Early projects include “A Woman in the Sun,” a family drama starring Renée Zellweger, Sissy Spacek and Mia Threapleton that marks the directorial debut of "Nyad" screenwriter Julia Cox.

•• Jennifer Westin, SVP, creative affairs and production, will lead day-to-day supervision of the AEIP slate under the guidance of Amy Baer, Artists Equity’s president of film and television.
