The state legislature begins session in early January and is in charge of sending billions of funds to our schools. Join us on Thursday, Jan 12th at 5.30pm to learn about how the state budget can and will affect your child's school.
We are seeking an organizational consultant to help us through an important leadership transition. Please amplify and share with anyone you think may be a good fit!
@NYCMayor@NYCMayorsOffice@NYCSpeakerAdams@NYCCouncil NO dont listen to their personal stories because they dont build budgets or vote in alignment to those stories, he talks about his struggles in learning yet continues to gut the education budget. it is beyond hypocritical, its unethical
Its so hard to even find the words that could describe how much Norm meant to CEJ & education landscape in NYC. He was a friend, a dreamer, a visionary, he made so many of us believe in a future we couldnt see. He gave encouragement & helped make us family

@madinatoure when is he going to start talking about our phenomenal schools? He says this all the time and then the next sentence he bashes our schools, educators, parents and students

#WeNeedCRSE
Student & parent orgs worked for DECADES to advocate for CRSE, language access & resources.A decision to dismantle mosaic during budget cuts & continued health crisis is a slap in the face to public Ed & the students it serves @CMRestler@EmilyAssembly@JuliaCarmel__#SaveMosaic
Who at @NYCSchools is really for students?
We asked to #RestoreTheCuts & got 🙏🏾
We asked for #PoliceFreeSchools & got MORE cops
We asked to #RestoreRemote & for free n95s & got Covid safety measures eliminated in our schools
Who do y’all serve? @DanWeisbergNYC @DK_BlackburnNYC
All NYC schools and students deserve access to a culturally responsive curriculum that sees their identity as assets, connects them to the curriculum, and encourages them to learn from others. This is such disappointing news and a disservice to all students.
.@DOEChancellor, is this your legacy? Read each quote. These are the parents and educators you need to listen to. If you are so sure mayoral control is the way, you cannot just erase a curriculum that took years to get funded. No school board would undue their own work like this.
As a proud member of the NYC #CRSE Working Group we are incredibly disappointed to see this admin divest in #Mosaic. An integral component to cultivating equitable, inclusive& integrated schools is a culturally responsive education. #SaveMosaic
