Meanwhile, it's essential that excellent care with early palliation (often alongside active, disease-modifying treatment) is available to reduce symptom burden & enable people to live as well as possible for as long as possible.

@ivorinfo I'm (not so internally) screaming at speeches on both sides. Personally, I find it deeply irritating and upsetting how often eating disorders get brought up as a hypothetical by people who clearly have no interest in EDs on any other day of the week.

Hmm there is a new study from @OHENews that concludes that 20 people in the UK die in pain every day, even with the best palliative care.

I’ve had a look at the data / method and I’m not convinced.
