Do something amazing this year and become a CFR! Community First Responders are volunteers trained to attend certain emergency calls in their communities.
They aim to get there in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.

New Year’s is a time for welcoming new beginnings and feeling positive about the year ahead, but not everyone feels the same.
Need to talk to text someone? You can call @Samaritans on 116123 or use the @textaboutit support service, at any time.
Merry Christmas to all the amazing volunteers in the CFR network. Thanks for all you do to provide a vital community response to life threatening emergencies and being part of the Chain of Survival. #LifesavingCommunity
We’re devastated to learn of our dear friend Maggie’s passing. She was at the heart of everything we do, and always giving of her time and warmth. Rest easy, dear Maggie. 💔

The word FAST will help you recognise when a stroke is happening and what you need to do.
Call 112 or 999 immediately. The sooner a person gets treatment for a stroke, the less damage is likely to happen.

In recent weeks, the communities of Greystones have proven the chain of survival works, not once - but twice. We were delighted to attend a First Responder appreciation evening, held at Rise at the Cove yesterday. 1/3
Happy 19th Birthday one of Ireland's longest standing CFR schemes, Dunlavin CFR.
Situated in Co. Wicklow, this scheme saw the introduction of CFR in Ireland and continues to provide an excellent service to the community.
Well done all and thank you for your dedicated service.

We were delighted to once again take part in the #Celbridge St Patrick’s Day parade! Our volunteers gave a quick CPR demo for the very enthusiastic crowd. The atmosphere & community spirit was fantastic. Thanks to Celbridge Community Council for an amazing day enjoyed by all ☘️
Huge thanks to all @ScoilMochua who made a very generous donation to @CelbridgeCFRs from their annual Readathon fundraiser! All hands up when asked what is the emergency number to call (999 or 112) & our responders also made everyone aware of the importance of #Knowyoureircode
