Yes, they are a major component in plant cells and photosynthesis. Animals need plants for a source of vitamins and to lower the Carbon Dioxide levels in the atmosphere. #watchthelorax#savethetrees

Here’s what the cell would look like without the Cell Wall...(nothing) PSA: if you remove a Cell Wall from a plant cell, then, because of the turgid pressure, the Cell Membrane would burst and the cell would loose all of its organelles! 👁👄👁
Chloroplast needs to humble itself. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t be able to complete photosynthesis. My strong wall and turgidity allows plants to stand upright and tall in order to receive sunlight for photosynthesis. Without the Cell Wall, what good are Chloroplasts?
@Chloro4Pres2020 Also, my strong layer is actually a key protecter against many diseases! While I am always subject to attack by viruses and bacteria, my pores are too small to allow entry to even these pathogenetic microorganisms. #briscoebio
@Chloro4Pres2020 Further, if the plant cell were to lose an excessive amount of water, I make sure the cell’s shape is still maintained until water returns to the system.
@Chloro4Pres2020@Ribosome@Chloroplast First I let too much water in and now I don’t let in enough!? I believe do a pretty good job of maintaining water. My tough wall acts as a pressure vessel, preventing over-expansion when water enters the cell by osmosis, so we will not burst!
