The Celtic squad in 1971-72 season. That season would the last they wore that particular kit as the shirt with the collar returned the following season. They would win the double that year and reach the semi-final of the European cup only to lose on penalties to Inter Milan.

Celtic and Hibs heading out in the 1972 cup final. Hibs skipper Pat Stanton, was an elegant and composed player who had a brief stint at Celtic where he won the double in 1976-77. Dixie Deans who hit over 20 goals against Hibs for Celtic, scored 3 that day as the Hoops won 6-1.
