Former @CentralStags pace bowler and test umpire Dave Kinsella died last week aged 89. I saw him play at Eden Park in 1966, his final season, when he opened the bowling with Richard Collinge. Kinsella took 72 wickets at 23 in 28 first-class games. Stood in 3 tests and 6 ODIs.
Former @BLACKCAPS fast bowler Bob Blair has passed away in England on his 94th birthday. The events of Boxing Day 1953 are well enough known. Blair took 330 wickets at 15.16 for Wellington and it's often forgotten he played one season for @CentralStags, taking 42 wickets at 17.28
β Congratulating our Central Stags BLAIR TICKNER and WILL YOUNG on receiving @BLACKCAPS contracts, among the country's top 20 male players contracted today πβ

#PLUNKETSHIELD | Sometimes a little luck is all you need. Big early chance for BRETT RANDELL in Rangiora, but RAY TOOLE removes the batter just 3 balls later
It's still sinking in. Hear from Brett Randell after his unique first-class cricket world first + what it meant almost a year to the day after snapping his collarbone in the same national championship.
