The wins are a byproduct of a leader who has built a culture of love, accountability and excellence. Daboās faith carried him through the darkest moments of his life and it has lead to his greatest moments.
Greatness isnāt achieved by worrying what everyone thinks of you. Donāt look outside. The praise, criticism, expectations; itās all just noise. Look inside to your heart and soul and do your thing. Do it with love and create greatness from the inside out.
SUCCESS is often measured by comparison to others. EXCELLENCE, on the other hand, is all about being the best we can be and maximizing our gifts, talents and abilities to perform at our highest potential.
Pursue excellence today.
Love is the ultimate driver of grit and excellence:
1. If you love it, youāll work hard to become great at it.
2. If you love what do you you wonāt give up when the world says you should.
3. If you love your team you wonāt quit on them.
4. Love casts out fear and fuels you.
5 ways to improve your mental health:
1. Exercise, it boosts mood and serotonin.
2. Eat wild salmon. Research salmon, depression and youāll see how fish oil helps.
3. Take a daily thank you walk. Practice gratitude.
4. Pray, meditate.
5. Help others-Mother Teresa effect
Really enjoyed speaking to my first NHL team today, @TBLightning. First time meeting coach Jon Cooper and GM Julien BriseBois. Great leaders who have built a great culture.
Everyone Matters
1. Recognize and celebrate their unique gifts and potential.
2. Call them up by challenging them to become all they were created to be.
3. Affirm their worth... tell them that they are part of a bigger plan and that they are loved.
To improve your relationships on a team, including marriage, you have to have difficult conversations with the intent of getting better. Be open to feedback. Move from like to love. Deal with the real issues. But donāt criticize. Construct. Donāt break down. Build up.
