ON THIS DAY in 1910: Centre College, then part of Central University, defeated the University of Kentucky 87-17 in basketball. To date, this is the largest losing margin UK has seen. ๐
The future is bright in the commonwealth because the young people I meet are extraordinarily empathetic and tremendous leaders. I met with a group of @CentreC students and discussed my leadership journey and how we can help them.
Centre College and the Danville/Boyle County community marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with an array of events both solemn and celebratory, kicking off with a downtown march and culminating in a program hosted at the Norton Center for the Arts.
The Centre community will honor the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., with a convocation at 10:30 a.m. Other events will take place earlier in the day, including a Unity March starting at Danville City Hall at 9 a.m.
With Centre's campus a winter wonderland, students made the most of a snowy Sunday, from snowman building to sledding and maybe even some snowball wars.
