Key Takeaways Part 1 from @KasperMLB SAT 6/6 breakdown!
One thing I've noticed studying both @JustExoticss and @KasperMLB is they're actually solving the same problem from different directions.
@JustExoticss starts with the pitcher:
🎯 Where does he miss?
🎯 Which zones are vulnerable?
🎯 Which pitch locations get punished?
@KasperMLB starts with the hitter:
📈 Is he heating up?
📈 Is the barrel rate there?
📈 Is the hard-hit profile there?
📈 Is the zone fit improving?
One is location-first.
One is hitter-first.
But when both paths arrive at the same names, that's where things get interesting.
The biggest takeaway from today wasn't a specific pick.
It was realizing that the strongest candidates tend to survive multiple independent frameworks:
• Vulnerable pitch locations
• Zone overlap
• Form
• Barrel %
• Hard Hit %
• Elite ISO
• Pitch weakness
• Trophy environments
The goal isn't finding reasons to bet a hitter.
The goal is finding hitters that are difficult to eliminate.
That's the process shift I'm experimenting with right now.
Super appreciative of all the hard work they are putting in staying dedicated and disciplined to the data!
