@block0_eth@SOTAwives Did you even look at their backgrounds remotely? Sarah’s an MIT grad that is head of an engineering division at a tech firm, and Vivian is a Stanford grad that’s a partner at YC.
People are so quick to judge without putting in a bit of thought, and the reactions are ironic.
@aymannadeem As a man with good education and elite career, I think finding a partner who is also well educated and successful is a given. I just want to make sure that’s not the reason someone is around though. I thought it was refreshing they acknowledged its importance but not primarily.
@deww400 I genuinely don’t understand the hate surrounding them. I thought it seemed like a very normal conversation. In fact I think it’s a good thing they acknowledge gold digging and explain why they feel the intentions are clean. they are well educated and accomplished themselves.

@rue_du_four@drrajsnotes I thought there was a lot of IMAF in Singapore. I also hear in the bay gen-z population, IMAF > WMAF. I live in another large city, and as a brown man, east asians express the most interest towards me.
@drrajsnotes@rue_du_four I said I used to find whit women attractive, but now I’ve recognized I have more in common with Asian Americans, and that’s my type. Yes there’s large variation within each community, but on average we have more similar personalities, and more collectively similar values.
@rue_du_four@drrajsnotes True. Idk as an Indian American man, I acknowledge when I was young (perhaps through early college) I found white women attractive. But after keeping myself open and dating around, I decided my type is Asian Americans (east+south). So I don’t even consider white anymore.
@rue_du_four@drrajsnotes 64% of asian women marry other asians, which is the statistical first preference. This study does not break apart asian, and you’re probably right in that a larger percent of East Asian women prefer white vs south asian men. But I’m glad to see #kumonstudy
