If we want healthier communities, we must start in our schools. That’s exactly what we did at Community 8 No. 3 Primary School.

This Friday, Cermes Foundation brought the Let's Talk Health’s Physical Activity Talk & Aerobics Session to the students of Community 8 No. 2.
Students learned about lifestyle diseases like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and the need for exercise.
Cermes Foundation is heading to Community 8 No. 3 with a morning packed with physical activity education and a live aerobics session for students.
Our goal is to help young people understand the power of movement, build healthy habits early and have a great time doing it.
Day 1 & 2 of the TechBytes Bootcamp brought robotics, electronic spreadsheets and programming to the classrooms of Akodzo JHS students.
Safe to say ICT learning went from science fiction and theory to something these students could actually imagine doing themselves.

Access to tech shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be a pathway. The TechBytes Bootcamp is where young minds turn curiosity into creation. We are spending two days with our young learners at Akodzo JHS to equip them with digital skills because every expert was once a beginner.
From learning why germs hide under fingernails to mastering a handwashing chant, to learning why sanitation is essential, this session had it all.
This is what the CERMES Foundation's Let's Talk Health programme is all about.
Germs don’t wait. Neither should awareness.
Over 250 pupils at Community 8 No. 1 Primary School just got transformed, learning habits that could prevent tomorrow’s illnesses today. Read the full story 👇

Did you know? 🤔
Proper handwashing dramatically reduces the chance of catching communicable diseases. Brushing your teeth twice a day keeps cavities away. This is what investing in kids health means.
#PersonalHygiene#collab2inspire
Imagine a generation of children who know exactly how to keep themselves clean, healthy and strong.
That future starts with one conversation and the Cermes Foundation is sparking that conversation with our young ones at Community 8 No. 1 School because healthy habits start young.
To every candidate stepping into the exam hall today, know that an entire community is cheering you on.
Good luck from all of us at Cermes!

Behind every child who learns to code, every student who understands their health and every community we've touched, there's a volunteer who showed up. On this May Day, we honour the hands and hearts that power our mission. Thank you for choosing to serve.

Not every girl grows up thinking, “I want to work in tech. Sometimes, all it takes is one moment, one laptop and one “you can do this too.”Today, on International Girls in ICT Day, we are celebrating those moments.
AI is already shaping how we live, learn and work.

And just like that, we’ve reached the finish line!
We wrapped up our final session of the Smart Skills Bootcamp at Republic Road School bringing everything together from the past weeks. Watching the students connect the dots between a spreadsheet and a robot's brain was the best
Did you know that robots are actually built like us?
We spent our latest Smart Skills Bootcamp session diving into Robotics at the Republic Road School, exploring the parts that make a robot move and the rules that keep them in check.

Easter gives us a moment to pause, acknowledge the challenges we’ve faced and to celebrate the grace that carries us through them. Let’s celebrate the strength it took to get here and new beginnings that are now within reach.
Wishing you a joyful and reflective Easter!

We wrapped up our Smart Skills Bootcamp at Republic Road School with another impactful session on mastering electronic spreadsheets.
A massive thank you to the Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate for the support and the Republic Road School authorities for the warm welcome.
In many public classrooms in Ghana, technology is still a textbook subject. The Cermes Foundation is bridging that gap by replacing theory with practice.
