We inherited a planet of trees that breathe for us, water that flows freely, food that grows straight from the earth, and animals that ask for nothing in return… how did we mess up so badly that we ended up with capitalism, credit scores, and wars?
"no hay que comprar ropa usada porque está cargada de malas energías"
Sisi seguro que la ropa nueva hecha por niños tailandeses esclavizados tiene una energía bárbara.
men can publicly say I don't date fat girls and it's a preference
a woman says I prefer tall men and there's a 47 minute youtube video about why she's the problem.
pretty shitty how baseline human activities like singing, dancing and making art got turned into skills instead of being seen as behaviors
so now it's like 'the point of doing them is to get good at them' and not 'this is a thing humans do, the way birds sing and bees make hives.
I finally understand what Machiavelli meant when he said, “Never play fair in a game where others cheat.” It doesn’t mean become evil. It means stop being naive. Stop bringing honesty to people who study manipulation, stop giving access to people who weaponize closeness, and stop expecting clean hands from people who already showed you they’ll throw dirt. Sometimes wisdom is not revenge. Sometimes wisdom is learning the rules of the room before the room uses your goodness against you.
MEN: murder their families, domestic assault, r*ping women/children/corpses, stalking, verbal abuse, CSA materials on their hard drives
ALSO MEN: "you saying ICK is hurting our feelings! it's a mental health crisis!" 😥
Women have been saying for years that there is a growing backlash against gender equality, and every time the conversation comes up we’re told we’re imagining it.
Now the United Nations is saying it.
According to a UN report, nearly 1 in 4 countries reported setbacks in women’s rights and gender equality. Hundreds of millions of women and girls are living in conflict zones, violence against women remains widespread, and UN officials are warning about a growing backlash against women’s rights worldwide.
The part that stands out to me isn’t even the statistics. It’s that women have been raising concerns about misogyny, online hostility toward women, violence, and attacks on reproductive rights for years, only to be dismissed as overreacting.
If the UN Secretary-General is warning about the “mainstreaming of misogyny,” maybe it’s time to stop pretending these concerns came out of nowhere.
Do you think women’s rights are genuinely facing setbacks, or do you think organizations like the UN are exaggerating the problem?
I’m sick and tired of people mocking those who care about the planet. Clean air matters. Living forests matter. Healthy oceans matter. Animals matter. Biodiversity matters. Wanting a livable world for future generations should not be controversial.
can anyone into sociology explain why vine felt safe and fun and led to many iconic memes & is fondly remembered yet tiktok feels like the actual devil making our species meaner and dumber by the day
whenever the female enters political propaganda as a figure she must always be erotiziced and she must be a slut, a succubus, a sexy seductress. no humanity is given to her.
Rich kids being able to do art for a living may be a reflection of their privilege but it seems to me like a reflection of the fact that a human that doesn't have to worry about money will often choose art. everyone is an artist until rent is due. i wish we all had that right
