This time, I ended my winning streak with a -$92K loss.

Looking back, the problem wasn’t a single trade. I was becoming increasingly overwhelmed as I kept increasing my position size. When your account grows from $20K to $1.3M, your standards for profit change as well. Small profits no longer feel satisfying, and that’s when the pressure starts to build.

The crazy part is that I’ve been through this many times before. I understand what’s happening, I can see the problem, and I know what I should do.

But understanding something is one thing. Being able to act rationally is another.

Going from $20K to $1.3M and then dropping back to $1.1M is still an incredible result compared to where I started, but mentally, losing $200K is still difficult to handle.

So I’m going to reset my account back to $20K once again.

Not because I’ve lost confidence in my trading ability, but because I need to bring everything back to the simplest state possible: smaller size, less pressure, and a focus on the quality of each trade.

I’m going to take three days off and come back when my emotions are back to normal.

The market isn’t going anywhere. There will always be opportunities. What matters is staying mentally clear enough to take them.
