Shaun Cawthraw, a Research Scientist at @APHAGovUK, kicked off the afternoon's session with an in-depth talk on #salmonella in flocks as he looked at:
📉 Prevalence - over 37% decline of positive salmonella tests in flocks from 2008 to 2020

🔎 Detection - as part of the testing protocol of @APHAGovUK they do whole genome sequencing (WGS) of salmonella so they are able identify the origins of an outbreak by comparing it to previous strains.

Pippa Abbey and Kostas Koutoulis, Veterinary Services Managers at Ceva spoke about the benefits of an immune complex IBD vaccine in combatting #gumborodisease, as well as sharing field experiences in Western Europe.
