@DannysAlt0207 Kagurabachi has a ton of aura farming but also some really great writing.
You only have to go to like ch.17 to read a fight that centres around 'death of the author' for example.
@Anbu_HQ@animeupdates Sometimes I do wish that fantastic series that I have watched were to get super popular but sadly it seems to only really be battle shounen and the occasional romance anime nowadays.
At least the next big battle shounen is one that I'm a massive fan of.
@Anbu_HQ@animeupdates Usually I see people use the term 'carry' to mean quality and not popularity.
It's honestly kind of refreshing to see this kind of thing.
@Anbu_HQ@animeupdates Ah, by 'carrying' are we basing it on popularity?
I had assumed that it was based on quality.
To answer your question, either Solo Levelling or Sword Art Online, though Lycoris Recoil is very popular and I see a lot of people asking for an 86 s2.
@hshsh26090@DannysAlt0207 I think that it's also important to note that they're almost always referring to battle shounen manga though they could definitely be clearer on that.
@hshsh26090@DannysAlt0207 I'm specifically referring to you saying that it's not even top 10.
It's a fair and valid opinion but it is a subjective opinion at the end of the day.

@ThatDeeGuy Honest to god a matter of reading comprehension.
Kagurabachi isn't really a subtle manga either so it's kinda hard to see how you get a take this bad.
@Mintaka543@SugoiLITE That's fair.
If you haven't seen it yet, I do advise A Star Brighter Than the Sun.
It has some really interesting shots and you could really tell that the staff cared a lot about it.
@Mintaka543@SugoiLITE Aside from A Star Brighter Than the Sun, Tamon's B-Side and Agents of the Four Seasons.
Maybe I just don't watch a ton but the most striking romance anime of the past few years for me have all been from other demographics like Kaguya-sama, Days With My Stepsister etc.
@Mintaka543@SugoiLITE I think I get the type that you're talking about. There aren't a lot that have a visually distinct style nowadays and it's a shame.
Whenever I think of recent interesting romance anime, either in terms of animation quality or direction, not a lot of shoujo spring to mind.
