Colorado lawmakers are explicitly choosing not to conform to a federal tax cut that would benefit working-class and service industry employees.

For example:
•If federal taxes on tips and overtime are eliminated…
•And Colorado keeps taxing them…
•Then a server, delivery driver, bartender, or nurse working extra hours in Colorado will still pay state income tax on that income — even when someone in Texas or Florida may not pay any income tax on it at all.

By refusing to mirror the federal exemption:
•Colorado signals a prioritization of state revenue over individual relief for workers.
•It positions itself in ideological opposition to the federal proposal — even though it has historically conformed to federal tax structures.

He recently removed "Moderate" from his profile only after it was questioned.
When a GOP candidate calls himself a moderate BEFORE a primary, you gotta read that "lefty Republican".
