🚨 Chelsea are ready to trigger Diogo Costa's €60M release clause, with Xabi Alonso identifying the Porto goalkeeper as his final marquee signing.
The Blues see the Portugal international as the missing piece in Alonso's squad after an ambitious summer rebuild at Stamford Bridge.
Diogo Costa recently won the Portuguese Super Cup, with reports suggesting his move to Chelsea is edging closer.

🚨🔵 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Pep Chavarría is about to sign for Chelsea. There are just a few small details left between the clubs. He is ready to travel to London.
The deal for Pep Chavarría is for €25M including add-ons.

If true, this is an amazing sign of ambition, if false we as fans can’t turn on Bob right away, I would love for a new GK but it’s not the biggest issue. Let’s see in the coming days what’s said but for now let’s assume it won’t happen. (Doesn’t mean to stop dreaming though)
With no midfield signing we would be put in such bad circumstances especially if Enzo’s heart is no longer in London, I love the thought of Enzo for next season, but I fear he’s not for the Xabi Chelsea, not athletic enough and did too much talking on international duty
Scott proposal came even though club knew Barco was coming.. Henderson / Xhaka meant club and Alonso always wanted someone of that ilk in the squad anyway, not necessarily to play a lot. Essugo needs a loan, Lavia worst injury record in the PL. Enzo not compatible in a pivot in England, reason all managers use him further forward (bought Rogers for 117m to play in his position last season)
Not signing a top, top level midfielder with legs and physicality would be a massive, massive mistake.
How many more seasons with out of possession issues?

My dream start of season lineups for Chelsea if for both probable formations, notice Hato for the back 4 and Pep for back 3, I think this is how it would be if we do get all the preferred signings and departures

List of Players who Chelsea should sell/loan:
GK: TSL, Jorgenson
DEF: Malo, Disasi, Badiashile, Trev, Sarr(L), Josh(L)
MID: Walsh(L), Enzo, Essugo(L), Kellyman
ATT: #9, DDF, Emegha(L), Neto, Mudryk(L), NJ, Guiu, RKM(L)
This also depends on incomings but we need to sell now!
If Chelsea are really pursuing Diogo Costa I think we are in for a real title race; especially with new managers around the league and Arsenals injuries to key players. I think with a new GK, and CM(Wharton 🤞) , and the players coming in should be an excited season

@NickLondon999@justcfc@berger_pj Why would we play a winger as a wingback, if we were to play that we would want LWB seemingly Pep atp. We couldn’t afford using gittens or Alajbegovic as a wingback that would be utterly stupid
@NickLondon999@justcfc@berger_pj Xabi is impressed by Gittens and his work rate and we have seen that in all the pre season games where Gittens has appeared as one of the best players in all of them. As a backup I believe Gittens will show that last year was a fluke and he can be a real game changer but who know
@NickLondon999@justcfc@berger_pj what I'm assuming we are going to run is either a front 3 of Morgs and palmer as dual tens and then JP, or a front four with Palmer in the 10 Morgan LW Estevao RW, then JP there was never a world where Alajbegovic would crack the starting 11, and from what we have been hearing...
@Qureshicfc@youneshhamou_ He never said itb only that he heard about the deal yall too quick to hate on someone, but then live or die by Ornstein Fab or any of the big journos
Some people are having genuine crash outs over every single thing Chelsea do.
I’m seeing people tweet several times for Andrey Santos. Genuine question, are you okay? He’s a talented midfielder but has limitations and it won’t take much to replace what he did for us, which wasn’t a lot.
If you prefer to live your life this way then fair play, you do you, but give me a break and judge responsibly.
You can have your moan all you want if they fail to get Lacroix, a good midfielder, and a good attacker, and fail to clear out the players holding us back.
And For those that are crying over Enzo wanting to leave, Chelsea literally want him to stay.
Until then why don’t you just chill out for 5 minutes. All of a sudden it seems that the squad no fans rated is now worthy of crash outs when we sell them.
