@SamulskiNYC@dayjeff83 I am interested Eric how much you do actually watch football, because the arguments just aren’t sensical to people who watch week in week out, not trying to be condescending with this question.
@JesseWright1489@SamulskiNYC never been a thing that was ignored lol. FIFA have always been corrupt, specifically around money, what this is has nothing to do with money and purely is damaging to the sport. I doubt you will find any fifa drum bangers lol. NBA has been corrupt don’t see you saying anything
@LVanmeter74433@SamulskiNYC First off it wasn’t in World Cup play, second I don’t agree with it but it has happened many many times before, Balgouns situation has quite literally never happened
@JoePompliano It is also is not appealed, they actually cemented the red but just decided to move when it comes into affect, there is also no process for an appeal at the WC so all you said was bogus. It was political pressure from the Trump office and this is an unprecedented moment
@JoePompliano No slow mo is not VAR protocol for fucks sake it is used the same way it was on Balogun across every professional league you are simply misunderstanding the rules
@SamulskiNYC Also Slo mo is used in every league for VAR I encourage you to go look through examples across Europe and other professional leagues and you will see the application of slo motion is normal and simply Americans just misunderstanding the application. Cheers
@SamulskiNYC Also it’s just Belgium feeling aggrieved it’s so many other nations that have been impacted by decisions and did not have the get out of jail free card that was just pulled by the US
@SamulskiNYC And to answer the last thing, half of those are opinion pieces largely from Americans specifically working with fifa at fox and it is simply dishonest, if Landon Donovan was fouled like that he would be up in arms that it was a red.
@SamulskiNYC The VAR officials watch the events in real time before referring the referee to what they see, you simply are not watching the whole process, slo motion is used to determine placement of the foul on the body, which was applied correctly
@LVanmeter74433@SamulskiNYC suspension being changed in WC play is virtually unheard of, plenty of players have been suspended in qualifiers and been given the chance to play at the finalslook at Caicedo of Ecuador. Also the administration of other nations did not call fucking fifa to ask them to change it
@erichhartmann politely you are completely misreading the rules there was no misuse of the VAR system, it is a clear red card, one in which we have seen week in week out. Lastly it has been confirmed as a red they just simply moved when the ban would be in effect not exonerating the offense
@AlZeidenfeld@ijjysmith Well good thing you didn’t need slo motion to know that it was a red, and exact location of contact in a tackle is referring to contact on the leg so yes you can use slo motion
