@pulte My autistic sons phone broke before it was 100% paid off so idk how we are going to get him another one. This would be a huge help for an unexpected emergency. CA- $raptorgorawr
I’m going to give away $30,000 to 1 random person who retweets this tweet AND follows Twitter Philanthropist @Pulte and Me!! (If you don’t follow us, we can’t DM you the money) Will show proof! lots of love :)
@pulte The $ would go to find the CareCloset in my classroom. We are a Title 1 school and have so many students in need with hygiene items, food for the weekend when they aren't at school, socks, etc. I can't afford it all on a teachers salary. $RaptorGoRawr
@pulte This would be used to set up a Care Closet at my Title 1 school for kids in need. Socks, hair brushes, deodorant, pads, etc. So many kids in need and I can't meet it on a teachers salary. $raptorgorawr
@SeattleMorn2 Student loan debt help, hell, I'll pay back 100% that I borrowed but at 6.8% APR, I am never going to get it paid off. Make student loan interest max at 0.9%
@generalanxiety1 @nckhui Surprisingly enough it looks like it's for all teachers. $1,000 to all state employees, $500 to those that make under 75k, a thousand just for teachers and $300 instead of testing bonuses. So in theory it looks like all teachers are going to get that bonus.
Hey Chipotle, I'd love if you could cover this one receipt! (Can't find others) $89.26 Just started teaching in January so I had no decorations. Making my room bright & clear that it is a Safe space for students of all orientations and genders here in rural NC. #SuppliesContest
@grantstern@grantstern can we talk about them trying to force teachers and students to register political affiliation? As a teacher it's very concerning.
@LarryKauffman16 @JakeLobin I am lucky enough to have been able to take a MASSIVE pay cut to go teach because I believe in the difference a teacher can make but for most others that teach and are struggling to make ends meet, $11 is just an insult.
That does not even keep up with cost of living.
Thanks NC Senate for the $11/mo raise as a teacher in favor of business tax cuts.
If I'm lucky after tax, I can buy Subway for lunch once a month those 10 months.
When all the teachers leave, thank NC republicans. They did this and could care less.

Rise of inflation since 2018.
1.9 in '18
2.3 in '19
1.4 in '20
And
5 so far in '21!!!!
That's a 10.6% rise NOT capitalized. That means NC teachers are making at minimum 9.1% less now than in 2018.
Teachers deserve a #livingwage and to be paid like the professionals they are.
@sevenbowie @NCGOP If minimum wage was $15 then beginning teachers would make $3800 more than that a year, require a degree, and we all put our own $ into our classrooms. That's before spending that $3800 on the pension we way into (which many teachers leave before vesting in and lose it) +benefits
@01cathy07 @tonyserrata @GOP You think the normal school year is rough? Let's put them in a summer school classroom. I bet they don't even make it a day before either screaming at the kids, cursing at them, or doing something else that would get them fired as a teacher.
