A LEADERSHIP DROUGHT IN ZIMBABWE..Drought in Zimbabwe has become a perennial challenge evidenced by persistent extreme weather conditions. Poverty, disease, cholera also characterize our national perils. These all constitute major threats to our national security. It’s like we’re stuck in a time loop since ‘07/‘08. This points to leadership failure.
Declaring a state of emergency after the fact is too little too late, lame and lacking. We’ve ignored warnings from experts including UN, WHO, WFP and our own meteorological teams who gave these warnings more than a year ago. Our lack of preparedness shows that the drought of leadership and strategy is OUR BIGGEST DROUGHT HAZARD.
We’ve got dams but they’re underdeveloped, silting up with no de-silting plans. We have too many undeveloped dam sites. We lack the right water harnessing and harvesting plans.
Other countries with less rainfall manage better. With the right leadership and proper governance, Zimbabwe would be evergreen. We have a great deal for Zimbabwe- the Green Agenda revolution.
Climate-smart solutions need proactive strategy, not reactive policy. Our water systems and land use needs effective management for preservation and sustainability.
Declaring disaster late is no solution. Lives have been lost and continue to be lost the policies are floppy, sloppy, slow and weak.
We’re ready to provide the leadership that acts, not react. We must resolve the drought of leadership. Zimbabwe deserves better. We must fix the broken politics, resolve the disputed elections conundrum, reverse the rigged elections scourge and restore majority rule. Zimbabwe needs a CITIZENS GOVERNMENT. #OnePeople

Yesterday, on The Chamisa News Channel (CNC) a WhatsApp news channel, I expressed my profound sorrow regarding the tragic loss of life and injuries resulting from the building collapse in Harare on Saturday. My deepest condolences go out to the bereaved families, and my thoughts and prayers are with them and those injured.
It’s unacceptable that such tragedies occur. A nation cannot rely on infrastructure that is over 44 years old without undergoing renovation and reconstruction. The toll of broken politics has been evident and devastating on our nation. We stand with the bereaved and the injured during this difficult time. May God comfort them all.
THE NEWS NETWORK…Greetings fellow citizens, I have opened this Chamisa News Channel (CNC) to share my vision, ideas, thoughts, insights and perspectives on current affairs and the steps into the future. Please join us as we grow this channel. We’re that great community of the civilized!!God bless you!! #Godisinit.

THE PROMISE OF VICTORY…Remembering this;
Jesus Christ is our exodus out this otherwise horrible world.
He is our sabbath in a stormy and tumultuous world.
He is our victory against sin, temptation and death.
He is the confirmation of our redemption and the hope of our glory!
Easter reminds us that in the crucible of adversity, hope blooms.
This holiday avoid being hurtful (in words and deeds) towards others.
Safe travels to everyone travelling this Easter Weekend!
I wish you all a Happy and blessed Easter Weekend.
May you and the family be preserved, revived and rejuvenated by the power of the blood of Jesus!
Thank you Jesus.
Jesus Christ is our victory!

🟣Dear Mt Pleasant Constituents,
After many consultations and personal reflection, I have decided that I will not be running in the upcoming by-election. The conditions that drove me to resign in the first place have not changed.
The reasons for my resignation include the gross disrespect of the votes cast by citizens in August 2023, the refusal by the Speaker to hear argument on points of national interest, hijacking of the whipping system, the refusal by the Speaker to entertain points of order on sensitive matters, the unleashing of violent riot police to attack opposition MPs during parliamentary sessions, the illegal recall of opposition MPs, the banning of opposition candidates, the disregard of standing orders and parliamentary privilege, the selective application of parliamentary rules, the repeated illegal suspensions of MPs and the hijacking of the opposition parliamentary caucus.
In fact, we see the further desecration of the August House by the swearing in of characters such as Sengezo Tshabangu who were front and centre of spitting on the will of the people.
I maintain that, in its current form, Parliament does not represent the will of the people.
I remain committed to the cause of a truly democratic Zimbabwe and will remain active, engaged and vocal on the issues that matter to the common person.🇿🇼
LEADERSHIP FLOURISHES A NATION…My prayer and wish is that one day, and soon, Zimbabwe will have a great story like this. Happy Friday beloved. #leadership
AFRICA PRODUCES GIANTS…I’ve been following the news on the burial of one of Africa’s greatest and finest business leaders. The Late Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe, his wife and son, were laid to rest in Nigeria. The three died in a helicopter crash in California, United States of America on February 9, 2024.
When the tale will be told of great men who impacted their nations and generations, @HerbertOWigwe will surely be on that list. An illustrious citizen of Africa, a quintessential example of vision and fortitude. A truly remarkable man and a wonderful legend of Africa. A highflier, finisher and accomplisher. He made his mark. He changed the narrative.
By building one of the largest banks in Africa, he proved that Africa is a continent of fine minds. Africa is a leader not a follower, a producer not a consumer and a giver not a taker. Great leaders leave an indelible legacy on the planet. May God comfort the family and friends, Nigeria and all Africa. RIP Herbert Wigwe, wife and son.

🟣WARNING - LONG POST
Today marks the start of Month 3 of my fitness journey. At the end of last year, I was at my heaviest. Obviously, being a campaign year I was juggling ten million balls - lawyering, spokespersoning, campaigning, travelling, MPing, Zimbabweaning, familying - the list was endless.
Almost everyday, I had a justifiable excuse for not going to the gym - my poor trainer was inundated with messages ranging from “I left Parliament at midnight” to “I’m still in Chambers and it’s 2am (insert pic for control). It was such a mess.
Paradoxically, keeping in good health so I could remain alive to do all these things was not a priority.
Many of the bad habits that I’d let go of had crept back in - eating bad carbs, drinking soda, eating fast food, having sugary foods, bingeing on cake, not sleeping, not taking a break, not even pausing to check my mental health. I was on autopilot.
Just after Christmas, I stood on the scale. I was as shocked as I am when I look at marked prices in the shops these days. At first I was in denial - told myself the scale could be broken. I then got angry at how I had allowed things to get this bad. I then got sad because it felt insurmountable. I soothed myself Netflix, pizza and milkshakes. This made everything worse.
As I got closer to the end of the year, I started planning my 2024. I started with a look at my 2023 goals - there was some professional stuff, some money stuff, some political stuff and some family stuff. I’d prioritised, stuck to and achieved most of them. However, I observed that I had not made looking after my health a goal that I took as seriously as I did my goal to be a mover and shaker in my legal career or my goal to win the parliamentary election.
2024 was going to be different. I resolved to treat my health goals with the same level of seriousness, mental strength and investment that I usually take to other spheres of my life. I haven’t missed a workout session so far. I’ve been punctual and consistent. I’m able to power through even on hard days.
I’m not where I want to be but I’m not where I used to be. For that I’m grateful.
The journey continues.

THIS ZIMBABWE MUST COME…This was at Doroi camp in Mozambique before the 1980 independence. The young people had so much hope in the future. This hope has not materialized. Things went wrong. 44 years later, even the young people of today still have this hope. Zimbabwe will not die because the young people will save it!! It’s a generational call. Are you in?? #MyZimbabwe #OneOeople
PUNISHMENT AND SICKNESS ASSOCIATED WITH WICKEDNESS ..King Jehoram suffered an incurable disease and died a painful death because of his wickedness. He killed all his brethren who were better than him. Don’t kill people who are better than you. 2 Chronicles 21:13-20 Blessed Sabbath #Godisinit
