Route 288 Northbound near Hull Street Road is closed due to flooding.
Firefighters were called to the area after two vehicles got stuck in the water. The people inside were able to get out on their own and were not injured.

Between 6 a.m. and noon today, Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to more than 250 incidents, including 111 calls for trees down, 41 calls for hazardous conditions, and 28 calls for things like downed power lines or transformer fires.

Last night, Chesterfield firefighters, along with our partners at Chesterfield Animal Services, were able to rescue a tiny kitten from a storm drain along Woods Edge Road. The tiny kitty was taken to a vet’s office for follow up care. @CBS6@12OnYourSide@8NEWS@RTDNEWS

Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews are currently on scene of a gas leak on Genito Road at Stigall Way. Several nearby businesses have been evacuated and Genito Road in that area is currently closed. Columbia Gas is on scene. Please avoid the area until repairs have been completed.
Update: The situation was marked under control at 6:37 p.m. after the leak was contained and it was determined the air quality in the store had returned to safe levels. A total of 3 employees were evaluated on scene for minor injuries.
